Refugee Policy Co-Design Observatory
Refugee Policy Co-Design Observatory
Bridging Community Voices and Policy Innovation
We are launching the Refugee Policy Co-Design Observatory (2026–2028) — an innovative platform dedicated to connecting refugee communities with researchers, policymakers and practitioners to co-design more inclusive and effective integration policies.
The Observatory serves as a collaborative hub where lived experience meets evidence-based research. Its mission is to ensure that refugee perspectives play a central role in shaping policies that affect their lives.
A Living Platform for Co-Design and Research
The Observatory will host regular community consultations, participatory research workshops and policy dialogues. Refugees and asylum seekers will work alongside academics and policy experts to identify emerging challenges, test new ideas and evaluate existing integration strategies.
Through data collection, case studies and community-led research, the project will generate practical insights into education, employment, health and social inclusion.
Informing Policy Through Collaboration
A key focus of the Observatory is translating community knowledge into actionable policy recommendations. Findings will be shared through policy briefs, public forums and stakeholder roundtables involving local authorities, NGOs and national decision-makers.
By fostering continuous dialogue between communities and institutions, the Observatory aims to strengthen trust and promote responsive, evidence-informed policymaking.
Looking Ahead
By the end of 2027, the Refugee Policy Co-Design Observatory seeks to establish a sustainable model for participatory policymaking that amplifies refugee voices and drives meaningful systemic change.
Regular updates, research highlights and community insights will be published as the Observatory’s work evolves.
