Refugee Youth Futures: Education, Identity & Leadership
Empowering Refugee Youth to Shape Their Futures
We are proud to introduce Refugee Youth Futures: Education, Identity & Leadership (2026–2029) — a forward-looking initiative designed to support refugee young people in navigating education, strengthening identity and developing leadership skills.
The project responds to the unique challenges faced by refugee youth as they adapt to new educational systems and social environments. By combining mentorship, skills development and youth-led dialogue, the programme creates opportunities for young people to build confidence and become active contributors to their communities.
Supporting Education and Identity Development
At the heart of the project is a commitment to helping refugee youth thrive academically while exploring their personal and cultural identities. Through interactive workshops and peer learning sessions, participants will develop study skills, career awareness and self-expression.
The programme will also create safe spaces for young people to share experiences, celebrate cultural diversity and strengthen their sense of belonging.
Developing the Next Generation of Leaders
A core component of the initiative is leadership development. Youth participants will engage in training focused on communication, teamwork and community engagement. They will have opportunities to lead small projects, participate in youth forums and collaborate with local organisations.
Mentorship from educators and community leaders will provide guidance and inspiration, helping participants envision future pathways in education, employment and civic life.
Looking Ahead
By the end of 2027, Refugee Youth Futures aims to nurture confident, skilled and socially engaged young leaders who are equipped to shape positive futures for themselves and their communities.
Updates and youth stories will be shared as the programme progresses, highlighting achievements and impact.
